Chocolate ice cream!

Serves 2  |  10 min + 2 hours  |  Easy

You thought just because it's January you can't have some ice cream? Wrong! That's one of the best things about being a grown up, you can eat whatever you want whenever you want to!

Imagine the following scenario: You're really craving some ice cream but you don't want to put your pants on and go to the store. A common scenario in our home, but I guess it happens to everyone. At least I hope it does, otherwise we're really lazy.

Back to the issue at hand -- you feel your desperation grow and look around the house for anyone you could convince to go to the store for you, but nobody's there, just your eager, happy dog. But you don't want to entrust it with your money since last time you sent it to the store it ended up in the casino and gambled all your money. So that's out of the question.

Just when you've given up and are reluctantly pulling your pants on, you see a banana. Yes! Banana-ice cream (or nana cream as it called around foodbloggers, yes, it really is) is a heavenly smooth banana and milk combination that is as easy to make as it is tasty!

This recipe can be made in two different ways, you can either place a chopped banana (without the peel) in the freezer for a few hours before preparing the ice cream, or then use a ripe banana and prepare it as instructed and place the whole mixture in the freezer for a few hours. Some people add a bit of protein powder or peanut butter for extra protein, feel free to do that! And the best part is that this ice cream is completely vegan, sugar and gluten free.

So what are you waiting for! Make some ice cream!

We had a blue backdrop for this picture until we realised we don't need a blue backdrop and got rid of it. It looks great here though!

As a foodblogger it's mandatory to have the ice cream melt a bit for extra effect.

  2. Cut the banana in small bites and put it the blender
  3. Add the cocoa powder, honey, and milk
  4. Mix until smooth
